With COP26 underway in Glasgow, Stirling University are showcasing their first-of-its-kind Environmental Resilience Array (ERA) to delegations from around the world, including some of the regions most affected by Climate Change.
The Forth ERA is a collaborative project between 3DEO, BT and Stirling University, capturing and visualising data from environmental sensors located across the Forth Estuary connected to EE's 5G network.
In the lead up to COP26, we've drawn on our long history in interactive technologies to develop a fully interactive, photorealistic 3D flythrough experience.
The experience allows delegates to fly around the Forth Valley, stopping at key points along the way to interact with ActiveMaps.Live and examine live data streams from the ERA platform. The experience also includes environmental video messages from the scientific team at the University.
After COP26, the platform will be used in educational and outreach activities to engage schools, businesses and the general public.
